Hi! I’m Darlene, a designer based in the Bay Area. I like to keep reinventing and evolving myself, always eager to challenge myself and grow as a critical thinker and designer.
With a background in architecture, I’ve developed strong design thinking skills, and my minor in data science has provided me with a structured and analytical approach to problem-solving. This combination has inspired me to transcend traditional disciplinary boundaries in my work, creating designs that are both problem-driven and data-driven.
In 2023, I pivoted from designing physical spaces to designing digital interfaces—essentially crafting experiences for people. As a product designer, I’m excited by the opportunity to work cross-functionally and to embrace the rapid iteration process through feedback.
I’m actively looking for 2025 Fall internship position.
A little bit more about me
I was born in Japan, raised in China, and educated in America, which has given me a multicultural perspective and an adaptable mindset.
I am an ESFJ (extraverted, sensing, feeling, judging).
I observe, empathize, communicate, and think. These qualities have led me to become a designer.
When I’m not designing, you can find me discovering museums🏛️, taking photos📸, and exploring new places🌊.
